SafetyBoat.ie aims to provide safe and enjoyable access to the water for as many people as possible. We understand that every guest has different needs, and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever feasible within the limitations of a marine environment.
Accessibility Statement
Our vessels are commercial RIBs. They are stable and comfortable, though movement is sometimes required when boarding or during operations. Handrails, designated seating and crew support are provided to assist boarding. Lifejackets are supplied for all passengers, and crew will give a safety briefing before departure.
We welcome passengers with reduced mobility or additional needs, and we will work with clients in advance to assess access options. The skipper has final responsibility for safety and may need to refuse boarding if a transfer or weather condition poses an unreasonable risk to the passenger or vessel.
Where possible, alternative boarding points and calmer operational areas can be arranged. Assistance dogs are permitted on board with prior notice. We encourage anyone with a medical condition, mobility challenge or sensory requirement to contact us before travelling so we can plan the safest and most comfortable experience.
We are always looking to improve. Feedback is valued, and suggestions for enhanced accessibility will be considered in future planning and vessel upgrades.
If you have any questions regarding accessibility or onboard support, please contact us by email or telephone. Our team will be happy to help.
